This plant is widely cultivated in Middle Eastern countries and India, where it originates. It is a crop that is not very demanding on nutrients, it grows in a wide variety of soils, but the most suitable are light textures, there are different varieties of sesame, they can be divided by their color and precocity, the most common are white and black or tan.
