Cornstarch

Corn starch is obtained from the wet grinding of yellow corn and – as a food group – is found within the group of cereals and derivatives. It is a very fine white powder made up of complex carbohydrates, easily digestible and a source of energy. Cornstarch does not provide significant amounts of protein or fat, and has a low sodium content.
